KYOUIKU Gears was born in 1958 out of the idea of “standardizing and stocking Metric Gears in order to have them ready when ever they may be needed.” by the pioneers of the Japanese standard metric gear market, Mr. Ida Kanau and his wife Mrs. Ida Ikuko.

The Japanese characters for both Mr.Kanau’s and Mrs. Ikuko’s names are read KYO-IKU when combined and thus that became our brand name, a name that is recognized around the world for it’s commitment to quality accuracy and great service.
