Right Angle Gearboxes
Right-angle gears such as bevel, worm and hypoid gears are used to create drive trains that can transmit torque 90 degrees, to turn a corner, while also being good for space saving. While being very convenient, as the teeth size becomes smaller, precise assembly of the gears becomes more difficult, due to the fact that it requires very precise adjustment to obtain the appropriate amount of backlash for smooth revolution. Because of these difficulties, assembly of this small, right-angle gears tend to take much longer that what machine designers expected. In addition, thrust loads appear once the right-angle gears start rotating so designers need to also dedicate time into selecting proper bearings.
Our right-angle gearboxes are designed with the intent of helping our customers save time on the design stage as well as during maintenance.
